The paddle (racquet) line for Frescobol Romero Britto is a classic example of HEAD quality. Romero Britto, a famous Brazilian painter, was born in Recife in 1963, a self-taught, began to paint, as a child, in any material he could get, including newspapers. In 1983 he traveled to Paris where he had contact with the works of several artists, mainly with the works of Picasso. He combined the influences of Cubism with those of Pop Art to create a vibrant and iconic style. And it’s just this style that the HEAD Romero Britto Pátria Frescobol Racquet has!

The United Nations Postal Administration announced on August 8th, 2008 that it issued six commemorative “Peace for Sport” stamps this Friday to coincide with the start of the Beijing Olympics.
“The Olympic Games have always brought people together in peace to respect universal moral principles,” the agency said in a press release.
The Games centre on the slogan “One World One Dream,” encompassing the values of unity, friendship, progress, harmony, participation and dreaming.
UNPA commissioned world-renowned South American artist Romero Britto to create a half-dozen original pieces of art reflecting the theme “Sport for Peace.”
Mr. Britto uses vibrant colours and bold patterns to convey a message of hope, and his work is exhibited in over 100 galleries worldwide and is in the private collections of such people as Arnold Schwarzenegger, Oprah Winfrey and Prince Albert II of Monaco.
This new stamp collection is the second he has designed for the UN. In 1999, he created artwork for six stamps on the theme “Education – Keystone to the 21st Century.”

On August 8, 2008, the United Nations Postal Administration (UNPA) issued a set of six commemorative stamps on the theme “Sport for Peace.” The stamp issue coincided with the Olympic Expo Beijing 2008 which was being held in Beijing, China from August 8 to August 18 in conjunction with the Games of the XXIX Olympics.
A unique printing process has been used for this stamp issue, which is a first ever for any postal administration. The total sheet area for the stamps is gold-foiled. Then a white offset coating is applied to the four-colour areas and then a four-colour process is printed over the white areas.
UNPA had commissioned the world-renowned South American artist Romero Britto to create six pieces of original artwork to design the stamps.
A modern day pop culture phenomenon, Romero Britto, has created contemporary masterpieces with his vibrant colors, bold patterns and a continuous message of hope.
